A specialist pollinator-friendly plant nursery
Mothecombe Gardens
Bee Verdant is a plant nursery rooted within the landscape of the Flete Estate and inspired by the living beauty of Mothecombe Gardens. Created with a commitment to ecological gardening and a deep respect for the natural world, our plant nursery celebrates plants that work in harmony with wildlife, especially the bees and pollinators that bring our gardens to life.
Every plant begins as a seed and is raised with care and purpose. Our focus is on resilient perennials, grasses, and herbs that thrive in real gardens, enrich the soil, and support diverse ecosystems. We grow what we believe in: plants with substance, longevity, and a quiet elegance that reflects the spirit of Mothecombe.
At Bee Verdant, buying plants is a personal experience. Whether you’re refreshing a border, filling a gap, or looking for something beautiful for the front door, we’re here to share knowledge and guide you toward the right choices. Our approach is thoughtful, expert-led, and grounded in years of horticultural practice.
Visitors are invited to explore Bee Verdant on Tuesdays alongside the opening of Mothecombe Gardens. Walk the borders, see the plants in their natural setting, and take home varieties that are grown with intention, for pollinators, for resilience, and for the simple joy of cultivating something meaningful.
Thoughtfully grown plants for gardens that support nature.

Our number one bestselling pot, and for good reason.
This timeless scalloped bowl is one of those pieces you'll reach for year after year. Hand-thrown in the South West from 100% natural, untreated terracotta, it's frost-proof, beautifully proportioned and made to be enjoyed both indoors and out.
It's the perfect home for fragrant herbs on the kitchen table, a collection of pelargoniums on a sunny windowsill, or a seasonal display of bulbs.
For Christmas, we recommend planting approximately 5 paperwhite bulbs or 5 hyacinth bulbs in the small pot.
Each pot is hand-thrown, so subtle variations in size, shape and finish make every piece unique. Drainage holes are included to keep your plants thriving.
A true classic, designed to age beautifully and become a much-loved part of your home and garden.

Craftsmanship & Design Inspiration
Georgie's series of drink illustrations captures some of our favourite tipples. Painted in-studio and translated into a vivid digital print, each piece is finished with delicate embroidery you can feel as well as see. European linen, stronger and more absorbent than cotton, softens beautifully with every wash, making this a textile that genuinely improves with age.
How to Style It
Drape over an oven handle, fold beside a bread basket, or use at the dining table. The 50 × 70 cm format is also ideal for framing; a frame transforms it into striking wall art. Wrap it around a bottle of wine or jar of preserves for a gift presentation as considered as the gift itself.
