The Shop

A small, beautifully curated shop at the entrance to Mothecombe Gardens

Plants

Right now in the shop, the focus shifts to strong, garden-ready perennials grown for the season ahead. You’ll find a considered selection including Nepeta, Penstemons, Lavenders, Gauras, Salvias, Echinacea, Stipa tenuissima, Purple Sage and Wood Sage, alongside many more varieties coming through the greenhouse.

These are plants chosen not just for how they look today, but for how they perform across the season. Long-flowering, pollinator-friendly and reliable, they bring structure, movement and colour that will carry your garden well into summer and beyond.

Plant them into one of our scalloped terracotta pots for an instant display, or establish them straight into your borders where they’ll return year after year, building a garden that feels both natural and alive with pollinators.

Terracotta Pots

In our shop you’ll find a beautifully curated collection of hand-thrown terracotta pots, crafted here in the South West and hand-picked by Nat. Their frost-proof scalloped terracotta pots and shallow bowls are made in classic terracotta, designed to age gracefully indoors or out. Timeless in shape and warm in tone, they’re perfect for spring bulbs, kitchen herbs, or seasonal planted displays, practical, enduring pieces that elevate both plant and home.

Scalloped Terracotta Pot
from £21.00

Our number one bestselling pot, and for good reason.

This timeless scalloped bowl is one of those pieces you'll reach for year after year. Hand-thrown in the South West from 100% natural, untreated terracotta, it's frost-proof, beautifully proportioned and made to be enjoyed both indoors and out.

It's the perfect home for fragrant herbs on the kitchen table, a collection of pelargoniums on a sunny windowsill, or a seasonal display of bulbs.

For Christmas, we recommend planting approximately 5 paperwhite bulbs or 5 hyacinth bulbs in the small pot.

Each pot is hand-thrown, so subtle variations in size, shape and finish make every piece unique. Drainage holes are included to keep your plants thriving.

A true classic, designed to age beautifully and become a much-loved part of your home and garden.

Craftsmanship & Design Inspiration

Georgie's series of drink illustrations captures some of our favourite tipples. Painted in-studio and translated into a vivid digital print, each piece is finished with delicate embroidery you can feel as well as see. European linen, stronger and more absorbent than cotton, softens beautifully with every wash, making this a textile that genuinely improves with age.

How to Style It

Drape over an oven handle, fold beside a bread basket, or use at the dining table. The 50 × 70 cm format is also ideal for framing; a frame transforms it into striking wall art. Wrap it around a bottle of wine or jar of preserves for a gift presentation as considered as the gift itself.

Sustainability

The linen comes from flax, a crop that needs no irrigation and no pesticides. Production uses eco-friendly pigment dyes, fully biodegradable natural materials, and recyclable packaging. Made in small batches to minimise waste and maximise quality.
